Warhammer 40K X Power Wash Simulator: Release Date Reveal

Warhammer 40,000 and Power Wash Simulator are indeed doing a crossover, and now we have a release date. It’s a new way to clean up the Heresy!

First revealed during the Warhammer Skulls 2023, the crossover event that “doesn’t make sense…but then the more you think about it, it kind of does” is actually happening. And not only is it actually happening but we now have a release date!

“On the 27th of February, you can take your well-drilled Adeptus Mechanicus maintenance skills to an assortment of muddied Imperial relics, from the tracks of a Rogal Dorn battle tank to the lofty carapace of a towering Imperial Knight. Everything from the vehicles to the environment is recreated in exacting detail, including a full Sacristan Forgeshrine and even the surface of Mars itself outside an ornate stained glass window.”

Power Wash The Heresy Away

So, I gotta be honest…I’m actually okay with this. Sure, I think there’s reason to be skeptical. But, if you’ve played PowerWash Simulator, then you know. It’s a delightfully chill game (which a somewhat chilling backstory if you actually get into it). At the same time, having a “clean-up crew” in the Imperium actually makes a ton of sense. Those massive machines of war do need maintenance and a good wash after an afternoon of purging heretics.

I’m also looking forward to seeing a bunch of the miniatures up close in 3D …albeit with gunk on them. It might look like someone went a little overboard with the Nuln Oil but that was intentional.

Also, having the setting be on Mars (a place with a history of volcanic activity) is also a nice callback to Power Wash Simulator fans, even if it’s a small one. In any case exploring around the Sacristan Forgeshrine in first person seems cool! Just make sure you Power Wash under stuff — we gotta keep those Machine Spirits happy!

I wonder if “Power” Washers have an AP value, and would that be an auto-hit ‘template’ weapon or rapid fire…
