Dungeon Crawl Classics revitalizes the classic Dark Tower adventure module in a gorgeous new 3-volume set. Don’t tell Mitra.

Dark Tower is an adventure module, originally written by legendary designer and activist Jenell Jaquays. It is regarded as one of the best adventures published by one of the first “third-party publishers,” Judge’s Guild, as Jaquays’ work garnered praise for considerable depth and coherence. In other words, Dark Tower was different because it felt like not just a random collection of monsters but like a whole story that players sort of emerged into.

In fact, Dark Tower is the only adventure module not produced by TSR to make the list of the greatest D&D adventures back in 2004. It is widely considered a masterpiece for its intricate relationships, intrigue-filled backstory, and being lighthearted enough that you can have fun playing through it, but it’s also quite dangerous.

And now, with Dungeon Crawl Classics poised to publish a revitalized Dark Tower, fully converted for use with the DCC RPG, the Tower, and its conflict between the gods Set and Mitra (and mostly their followers) beckons once again…
