Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist: Brutal Dark Angels Ironstorm Spearhead
Goatboy here with a nasty Dark Angels list that was utilized in a Texas event this past weekend. Meet the Unforgiven’s Ironstorm Spearhead.
All hail the first Legion! Kit Smith Hanna wrecked a ton of face to win it all at the Clutch City GT. I watched a bit of the finals and it was a pretty brutal match to watch as Kit seemed in control the entire time. I wanted to show the Dark Angel list as it loses one unit with the new Codex but as a whole it stays the same – utilizing a powerful Marine Detachment – Ironstorm Spreadhead – to wreck things with brutally efficient bullets of righteous Unforgiven death.
I know some Storm Raven lists have shown up across the pond and this really just builds upon a very powerful shooting platform, tough as nails ground game with Dreadnoughts, and just brutal damage efficiency. It is a brutal list and good job on Kit building it, playing it well, and just wrecking the event with it. The Lion would be proud.

Dark Angels Ironstorm Spearhead Tactics
This list is built as efficiently as you can, with each part being a useful addition to the whole. From the Henchmen holding the backfield as needed, to each vehicle just being a brutal damage dealer. In 40K 10th Edition It’s always been weird how Flyers just feel like they are either too good or not good enough. It is hard to find that sweet spot where one showing up is cool. Great job to Kit – hopefully I will see him and his buddies in other Texas events as I find time to get out there.
