There’s a new character coming to the Horus Heresy. Meet the Tenth Captain of the Sorrgol Clan-Company: Shadrak Meduson!

The Battle for Beta-Garmon is bringing in fresh blood to the tabletop with these characters. First we got Tybalt Marr. Now we’re getting another character in the form of an Iron Hands Captain. This Terran born warrior was assigned to the second wave of Iron Hands drops during the Isstvan Massacre. But before he could be deployed he was forced to redirect and fend off the traitors as they were committing boarding actions.

“This miniature shows Meduson as the vengeful guerilla, a scarred and augmented Space Marine launching hit-and-fade attacks on the forces of the Traitor hosts, sworn to hunt down his nemesis Marr. Despite his losses, he’s still one of the Iron Hands – he has a servo-arm tucked away on his power pack, and the emblem of his adopted clan sculpted onto one knee. “

Shadrak Meduson, Captain of the Iron Hands

One of the things I appreciate about the the Horus Heresy characters is the actual character that gets sculpted into these miniatures. I like the focus Meduson is showing as he’s looking down the sight and lining up his shot. Being an Iron Hand Captain, there’s a grim determination in his stature. You can tell he’s seen it all based on the bionic implant he has. You know he’s got other battle scars that might not be visible but they run deep.

Shadrak Meduson also has his own special rule he can use once per battle. This ability allows for all models in the same Detachment that are either Iron Hands or Shattered Legions to gain the Furious Charge (1) and Hatred (Traitors) special rule. That’s really going to add some pop when they get into combat with the enemy! He also grants an additional Reaction during the Movement phase as long as he’s on the tabletop as the Warlord.

You’ll be able to get the rest of his rules in The Battle for Beta-Garmon supplement coming soon.
