Age of Sigmar: Stormcast Eternals Prosecutors Land In The Action With Blazing Wings
There’s a new chamber of Stormcast Eternals arriving and they have a host of new miniatures. Meet the new Prosecutors!
Get ready for reinforcements dropping in from the sky — but not the lightning bolt kind. The Stormcast Eternals are getting a fancy new unit of winged warriors.
Meet The New Prosecutors
Now, if you’re a Stormcast Eternals player you might be thinking, “hey, don’t we already have Prosecutors?” And yes. But not like these.
“Like the Liberators before them, Prosecutors are classic Stormcast Eternals that hark back to the dawn of both Warhammer Age of Sigmar and the in-universe Age of Sigmar, and they’ve been reimagined in a slick new style for the new edition. Carried aloft on flickering flame-like wings which replace the sunburst design of old, Prosecutors are Sigmar’s vengeful hunters with unique crested helmets, elegant javelins, and robust circular shields.”
So yes, the Prosecutors are getting the Liberator treatment with a new unit that updates the look and replaces their old models with a new design. Their wings are now flaming and their have the newer style armor, too.
Lore-wise, this update is partially due to the ruinous spell that Be’lakor cast that cursed the skies and blocked the Prosecutors from being able to get back to Azyr for a reforging. The new Thunderstrike armour is forged to help deal with that. Plus, these Prosecutors have been taking a beating flying those deadly skies so they needed the extra help.
Personally, I do like the updates. I still can’t decide if I like the tactical rocks to perch on more or less than the flight stands. Although, I don’t think I’m a huge fan of flight stands…so this is probably a win in my book. Either way, the new sleek armor and the fancy new wing upgrades do look cool. It also sounds like their weapons got updated to be just javelins and shields. I wonder if those are the only options or not.
So that’s at least two of the new replacement Stormcast units coming in. Anyone want to place bets on what other units will get updated with the new Stormcast line?
