Marvel: Crisis Protocol has a wide array of characters and the roster keeps growing. Here’s the Affiliations we want to see next.

By my count there are current 24 Affiliations in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Affiliations are collections of characters that can work together under a leader of that particular faction to gain access to their leadership abilities. They are also used for Affiliation specific Team Tactic cards. That said, while 24 might sound like a lot, you have to remember that a lot of these teams overlap characters. A new Affiliation doesn’t mean an entirely new set of characters.

So why do we want more? Because COMICS! Also because there’s dozens and dozens of cool teams out there in the Marvel Comics universe that can be tapped. Here’s just a handful of one’s we’d love to see…and also if they added a bunch of new characters from those teams we wouldn’t be mad about that either.

Fantastic Four

They might have missed the fourth anniversary (birthday?) of Marvel: Crisis Protocol. But there’s a new movie on the way and Marvel’s first family has been mysteriously absent from MCP. Just tossing this in the mix and hoping for the best…

Exiles

To call the Exiles a “weird team” is an understatement. They are a team of a ton of various characters from all over the Marvel Universe. But not just the “main” Marvel Universe, this also includes a bunch of alternative universes (and timelines), too. It’s a revolving door of characters that die and sometimes come back to the team.

Honestly, this team is a lot like DC’s Suicide Squad, except with more time-hopping and alternate dimension swapping going on. It would be a perfect fit in Marvel: Crisis Protocol!

X-Factor

Is this just a backdoor pitch to get Havok, Polaris, Strong Guy, Multiple Man, and Wolfsbane in MCP? Maybe…but I’m here for it! X-Factor also had members of lots of other X-Men characters, too. It’s a team that’s been waiting in the wings and should totally make the jump to MCP in some form or fashion. But really, I think the team itself has a good roster and mix of characters that they could bring something fun and different to the tabletop — regardless of which point in time the team is based around.

Alpha Flight

Look, if we can get the Winter Guard from Russia then we can DEFINITELY get Alpha Flight from Canada! Again, it’s a team that’s been around a long time but they’ve also had a few different roster swaps over time. There’s a few notable fan favorites in the team, too. But at the end of the day how can we ignore a team that’s basically the Canadian Avengers?!

Thunderbolts

You know how I mentioned the Exiles were like the Suicide Squad but with more timey-wimey hijinx? Well, the Thunderbolts are also a lot like the Suicide Squad as well, only without the time travel like the Exiles. This “team” also has a revolving roster of characters that cross between heroes and villains. And they also have a movie coming out (slated for 2025). Again, this mash-up of characters fits perfectly in MCP and I’m a little surprised we don’t have it as am Affiliation already. This would be a great team for a Red Hulk and US Agent to kick off…just sayin’.

There are SO MANY more teams that could be Affiliations in MCP — what Super Teams would you want added?
