A new Kickstarter will make an official MÖRK BORG action figure in the form of the skeletal Dread Risen, with several backer-only exclusives.

MÖRK BORG is a doom-metal-fueled sensation of dark fantasy packed full of action that leaves you too breathless to worry. There’s a reason this game, which is as much about aesthetics as it is about rules, has taken off so much in the last few years, with spin-offs tackling everything from Pirates in PIRATE BORG to BoLS favorites DUKK BORG. Now, in collaboration with Severed Toys, MÖRK BORG will have an official action figure.

The official action figure, Dread Risen, is currently raising funds via an expansive Kickstarter campaign. You might recognize Dread Risen from the front of the MÖRK BORG book.

Like every skeleton, Dread Risen has broken free from the mausoleum of flesh that once contained it. For extra metal, it now wears the head of a demonic goat. You’ll want to check out the Kickstarter because there are several variants that will never be made again, which you can only get as part of the campaign.

MÖRK BORG Action Figure and Zine – Kickstarting Now

In partnership with Stockholm Kartell, the first Mörk Borg action figure is here from Severed Toys. This is the first in a line of 7-inch tall (1/12 scale), fully articulated toys. The skeletal figure comes with a variety of options. But most pressing is the free “flanged mace,” which is an option available to all backers who pledge in the first 48 hours (until 11 am EST on May 2nd).

But even if you can’t get in on the flanged mace option, there’s still plenty to grab as part of the Kickstarter:

As faithful to the source material as possible, Dread Risen (standard edition) looms on your dark shelf, ready to deliver D6 damage to anyone who reaches for it. Check the stretch goals to see what additional loot it might come with.

There’s the rusted sword, sick flail, battered shield, and, of course, the Dread Risen Zine: Skeletal Creed, all by default. And while the accessories are self-explanatory, here’s a look inside the Zine, which will let you summon your own undead monstrosities:

Each action figure will come with its own unique zine cover by Johan. Variants include: Dread Risen (like the core book cover) / Glow in the Dark, Blood Drenched, and Cursed (all black). These are an exclusive and won’t be offered if there is a second production run of the figures.
