It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new tabletop role-playing games.

100 Things to Find in a Ruin

PCs are a chaotic force, no matter their actual alignment. They will rarely do as the GM expects and it’s best for GMs to be ready for anything at a moment’s notice. Having a supplement like 100 Things To Add To A Ruin is exactly what it says on the tin. Always be ready to add that immersive flair to any ruin.

Ruins may not be completely abandoned or empty. They may be used by locals or travellers for various things, including shelter. Animals and other creatures could be found within them. Strange magical effects may linger on. This supplement has 100 things to add to a ruin as background colour or potential adventure hooks.

Echoes of the Dead

Four Against Darkness is a solitaire dungeon delving game where all you need is 2d6, grid paper, and a pencil. Randomly generate each room of the dungeon with your party of 4 characters and fight monsters, find treasure, and level up. Echoes of the Dead is the latest adventure perfect for players getting used to this system.

Tasked with rescuing a missing cleric as your first mission, what awaits you in the catacombs is a haunting truth. Surrounded by restless dead, every step inching you closer towards eternal damnation, can you redeem your brave fellow and prove your worth to the clerical Order? Will you journey back from the darkness . . . or be consumed by it?

Echoes of the Dead is a linear mini-campaign in three sessions, perfect for beginning adventurers. The Four Against Darkness core rulebook is required to play.

Ruins of Symbaroum – The World of Symbaroum

I could try to tell you all about Ruins of Symbaroum, but J.R. is much better at that stuff than I am. So read his review here.

With the Ruins of Symbaroum game line, the acclaimed setting of Symbaroum comes to the world’s most popular roleplaying game rules. This book offers a detailed description of the Ruins of Symbaroum game world, and is a must for all who wish to delve deeper into the setting while playing with the 5th Edition OGL ruleset.

Welcome to a world of mystery and adventure, of clashing cultures and ideals, a world constantly under threat from the darkness of the Eternal Night. This book expands on the lore and setting information presented in the Ruins of  Symbaroum Gamemaster’s Guide. It delves deep into the ancient history of the game world, and aside from general  descriptions of people, places, and historical events, it provides the Gamemaster with lots of plot hooks and secrets, along with no less than seven detailed adventure landscapes centered around ruins in the forest of Davokar.
