Take a look at Warhammer 40K’s top 5 Ork units from the new 10th Edition codex. You will be seeing lots of these!

Orks appear to be one of the better codexes currently in 10th Edition, with a plethora of units, powerful detachments, and tons of options.  All of these options in the codex still mean there are five very powerful ones that you will most likely see in any game.  These no-brainer Ork options are what I want to list out today.  So sit on down, grab ahold of your trusty slugga, and get ready to ride into the sunset.

5. Ork Boyz

The updated Boyz is a great change to one of the namesake units for the army.  The ability to have a sticky objective unit that is both a Battleline and useful is a powerful thing.  They have multiple options for Character units to join and get a ton of different options throughout the detachments.  In fact it is this ability to have attached characters and gain specific keywords that is one of the powerful things in this new codex.  You will see a lot of Ork Boyz showing up in the future.

4. Ghazghkull Thraka

This unit got a nice update in the new book with a Sweep attack that you might end up seeing him more often.  While Ghaz is slow, and the unit he joins is slow as well, he still seems like a steal for a nice mid-table bully unit.  The army will have some issues with high armored/toughness models.  While you can drown them in Boyz it might not let you win the game when you need to wreck something quick with some snip snips.

3. Warboss

A simple leader unit that can quickly get out of hand with a Waaagh and an angry attitude.  This is, again, one of the nice add-ons to Boyz units to give them the Warboss Keyword. This allows them to utilize both Waaaghs in Bully Boyz and just give a powerful character to punch things out if you get stuck in.  Between the Boyz and a bunch of Nobz, this guy is gonna show up and be heavily utilized as a cheap leader option.

2. MegaNobz

The current poster boys of the new Codex, these very undercosted walking tanks might be the cornerstone of the Bully Boyz armies.  They can come out of their transports, get to Krumpin things, and just be very hard to remove from the tabletop.  I don’t expect most armies to run more than one unit of Mega Nobz. But I bet there will be a 3-unit army all riding around in transports ready to punch things. Beware!

1. Ork Trukk

This is probably one of the best transports in the game being very cheap and versatile in how many things it can carry.  The only thing it seems it can’t drag around is Ghaz and that is probably a good thing.  It can hold six Meganob armor-wearing jerks, it can hold 12 Boyz, and it heals itself.  The Trukk is perfect for dumping off your damage, driving back to your home objective, and just being another layer of annoyance for an enemy to deal with.

Waaagh!
