Games Workshop has a new collectible coin coming in July and it’s perfect for all you Horus Heresy Fans. Plus a Goremonger is up for grabs!

This July is coming in hot and GW knows how to celebrate. The monthly coin has been revealed and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it’s an Eye of Horus coin releasing on July 5th. Again, Games Workshop, a company based in Nottingham, UK is issuing an Eye of Horus  (the Warmaster of the Traitor Legions during the Civil War known as the Horus Heresy) Collectible Coin the day after America celebrates Independence Day.

GW, I see what you did there. But also this is likely because the Horus Heresy’s new boxed set is coming out very soon. It’s almost like it’s going to be their big Summer release or something. Anyhow, on to the coin!

“This month’s collectible coin is a nod to the fact that Saturnine, the new boxed set for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy is almost upon us. Check in with your local store manager to find out how to earn yours in preparation for the arrival of those chunky new Terminators and their massive Dreadnought pal.”

Yeah, see — it’s a nod to Saturnine. It has nothing to do with Independence Day in the US…*wink wink* Anyhow, it is likely just a factor of how the dates lined up as July 5th is a Saturday and that’s when GW releases the new stuff. Jokes aside, the coin is neat and the new Saturnine box is looking impressive.

If you are chaos-inclined there’s also the free miniature you can grab — while supplies last of course.

“You can get your very own Goremonger for free from the 5th of July by visiting your local Warhammer store. These miniatures will only be available while stocks last – ask your local store staff how to claim one. “

I do like the Goremongers in theory. But I’m more partial to Khorne Berzerkers. That said, for both the coin and the miniature you’ll have to stop in at your local Warhammer Store. Check in with them to see how to get your hands on the goodies!

So does that make Warmaster Horus… George Washington?
