Kamandora’s Blades are a new warband coming to Warhammer: Underworlds and they have some of the ugliest mugs around.

There’s a new Warband coming to loot and plunder in Embergard. Kamadora’s Blades aren’t your typical followers of Khorne either. Sure, they are into the whole blood and skulls thing. But they aren’t exactly front-line material. They haunt the aftermath of battles and claim the leftovers like scavengers. But not for themselves. They are just there to collect skulls for the pile.

“Kamandora, Mother of Hate, and her followers Ghalista and Antro Krast do not covet these trophies for themselves – they plan to huck them onto the vast pyramid of skulls where Korghos Khul attained daemonhood. It helps to have a purpose in life, even one as macabre as this. “

I have to give credit to GW for this particular warband. They are very macabre. I’m not sure their backstory entirely explains their appearance. Then again, if they ask “wanna know how I got these scars?” I’m OUT.

First up we have the leader of the warband Kamadora, Mother of Hate. At first glance I didn’t think too much of it. But then I saw her maw and …yikes. I figured “hey, maybe GW is just doing something different with her mouth.” But nooooo. It’s not just her.

Next up is Throkk — he’s the one with the really large axe. And also we see yet more gnarly maw on this model. The hound is named Kannat. I know folks like to cheer for pets and animals in warbands but I don’t think Kannat is going to garner the same attention. I mean, I still think he’s a good boy. Please don’t bite me, Kannat.

Finally, we have Ghalista and Antro Krast. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure which is which. But they are both looking frightening. Seriously, I know chaos mutations are a thing but geez. Where did their lips go!?

This whole warband is both scary and ugly. If that’s the look GW was going for, they nailed it. Look, I play a couple death armies and I’m typically okay with skulls but this combo of flesh being mutated and their exposed teeth is just…not for me. Are they turning into Bloodletters or something else? What do you think of the miniatures in Kamandora’s Blades?

Those are some ugly mugs. And I mean that in the most respectful manner.
