‘Avatar Legends: Voyage Of The Unity’ RPG Hits Kickstarter Running With Deluxe Campaign Experience
The Voyage of the Unity campaign for Avatar Legends is live now on Kickstarter. Magpie and Beadle & Grimm’s have pulled out all the stops.
Avatar: Legends the roleplaying game set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra is one of the biggest TTRPG Kickstarters of all time. And with good reason. The world of Avatar’s Four Nations is absolutely ripe for the kind of exploration and play you get in a tabletop rpg. Plus Avatar is s widely recognized name, bringing in players from outside the usual reach.
And now, Magpie Games and Beadle & Grimm’s have teamed up on a new Kickstarter. For Voyage of the Unity, you’ll find a whole new campaign. A grand tour of the world. And one you can display for your players, thanks to a deluxe campaign set full of artifacts that any Avatar fan might want to have on hand.
Avatar: Voyage of the Unity Now On Kickstarter
The new campaign promises to be a globetrotting adventure. But it will also serve as an example for players and bGMs what a longer series of adventures can feel like. This should be especially helpful for players who are new to RPGs and players who are new to Powered by the Apocalypse systems.
I mention this, because Avatar Legends leans hard on the mechanics to try and duplicate the internal struggle that characters on the show face. As well as a more broad-strokes application of Elemental Bending that mount catch players who are used to spell slots a little off guard.
So having a concrete example to play with can be really enlightening. Especially since this campaign rounds out the world of Avatar. It’s a great way to introduce the setting to players who might not be familiar with it:
Voyage of the Unity is an original, officially licensed adventure series and premium box set by Beadle & Grimm’s for Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game from Magpie Games. Set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the adventures in Voyage of the Unity expand the world of Avatar Legends by exploring the Four Nations during the Roku Era.
Voyage of the Unity is a series of five linked adventures that take place both on the Unity, a mammoth seafaring research vessel built as a joint venture by the Four Nations, and at various ports of call around the world. These five adventures can be played individually, or as a campaign that takes the companions from complete unknowns on their first journey to respected members of the crew. Journeying across the Four Nations, the Unity offers players and GMs a unique frame for a campaign—a globetrotting set of adventures that showcase everything the Four Nations have to offer.
But besides the campaign diehard Avatar Fans as well as diehard rpg players will both love the deluxe campaign experience from Beadle & Grimm’s. This is an assortment of “in-world elements and game aids” which include things like gorgeous cloth maps and in-game handouts.
