This is pretty exciting news from Forge World and Black Library. This book is the first time you’ll be able to get Forge World Rules directly on your tablet from Black Library. This is probably just the first of many books to move over to a digital format – get ready for the full Horus Heresy Invasion in the digital realm.

This is the first time the Heresy goes (legally) digital!

  • Andreas Noche

    Ir´s a new dawn, it´s a new day…

    • Sparti67

There will be no dawn for the chaos codex…

      • Andreas Noche

Yep, chaos guys. All cato all the time.

  • Tom Black

    Might actually buy them now…

  • Knight_of_Infinite_Resignation

    Good news.

  • dinodoc

It’s kind of amusing that the Mechanicum list is the 1st digital list from Forgeworld. The Omnissiah would be pleased.

  • OolonColluphid

Hope it’s in PDF format. I loath epub.

    • dinodoc

      It’s in Epub.

      • OolonColluphid

That’s a poor way to deter piracy.

  • georgelabour

Now if only there were more ntoes about integrating them with the cult mechanicus and skitarii codices.

    • dinodoc

That depends. Are there notes for integrating the Crusade list with SM codices?

      • georgelabour

There are a number of free PDFs, and purchaseable books from forge world permitting age of darkness specific units to a ‘modern’astartes force chosen using various codices. We just got a mainstream GW release including even more options.

Some of those things provided also permit those same units to chaos factions.

I have yet to see anything about cult mechanicus or skitarii getting Triaros transports, or myrmidons. And then there’s the Ordo reductor, cybernetica, and Ordinatus factions which DO exist in the 41st millenium but have nothing official from forgeworld.

        • dinodoc

Did the Ordo Reductor survive the Heresy? They were never a large order to being with and a large number of them were ambushed on Isstvan III with the rest of the loyalist elements of the Traitor legions there at the time.

          • georgelabour

They did. They even have rules to play as a member of the order in FFG’s Dark heresy RPG which is where I first learned of them.

They’re also mentioned in the recent novella Tech Priest, and I think they’ve popped up in another novel or two.

  • About bloody time, just a shame they didn’t go with the Space Marine Legion rules first…..

    • dinodoc

Think about it a bit and you’ll realize why the Mechanicum made the leap to digital 1st.
