~That should get you all caught up. Onto the week folks!

  • Agent OfBolas

    Ahriman … is ugly ?

    • Anasa

I’d love to see it painted before judging it, though classic Ahriman does look better.

    • euansmith

Careful what you say, you know what these guys are like when you mock their sad devotion to an ancient religion, “I’m not Head of Catering! I am Vader, I can kill catering with a thought.”

      • car_tag

Well you still need a tray.

    • benn grimm

Probably, though since he never takes his helmet off your guess is as good as mine. That plastic model above though? Not Ahriman.

      • Azrell

Its the 30k Ahriman… same guy pre10k years in the eye of terror.

        • benn grimm

Why would they make all the other 30k character models in resin but make Ahriman in plastic? That’s not Ahriman, it’s another 1ksons sorcerer, blatantly heresy era, most probably from the next 30k box set from the main studio (imo).

          • Jimi Steele

            Warhammer TV, introducing Kharn.
“You’ve seen this Ahriman Sprue, now check out Kharn.”
            Its Ahriman.

          • Matthew Dix-Williams

I was under the impression they said ‘Thousand Sons Space Marine’.

          • benn grimm

            The plot thickens…

          • benn grimm

Fair play if that’s the case and its been confirmed by the folks at warhammer tv… seems a bit weird, but fair play…

          • shiwan

The antlers will go when I get this model.

          • Randy Randalman

The boxed set revolves around a specific scenario in which he was an integral part.

Without the mold lines, of course, he looks good. Whether it’s him or a generic sorcerer, that’s what Thousand Sons looked like pre-heresy. It has never been rumored or teased as an update to 40k Ahriman.

  • euansmith

I think it is a shame that Kharn has lost his fluffy fox-tail helmet accessories and has replaced them with some lank, green locks on the new mini.

    • Zack Seiders

Kharn is the 3rd special character to officially have a plastic model though, the 1st being old one eye and 2nd being eldrad. Hope all of the old finecrap models get replaced eventually.

      • Mr_Pickles

Space Marines have plenty of characters to get a plastic sprue treatment. probably will line up with next codex releases.

      • Randy Randalman

Ulrik got one too. So did the Swarmlord. So did Skarbrand. So did countless others via boxed sets…

        • Haighus

Logan Grimnar, Bjorn the Fell-handed, Murder-whatever-hes-called and Krom Dragongaze too. Space Wolves are leading on this (which makes sense tbh, they are the faction of special characters). Chaos is not doing so well with just one generic clampack character and now Kharn. They really need a Lord, a Sorceror, a Dark Apostle and a Warp Smith in plastic too. Especially the first two.

    • Randy Randalman

They don’t come green, you know. It’s also not possible that they’ve changed over the course of 10,000 years?

      • euansmith

I guess it is the lighting in the final photo (see below), in the first one they are looking more turquoise; but I liked the mod moped look the old fox tales gave his head 😉
