The Shadow of Chaos has stretched across the galaxy and the Imperium is WAR!
Games Workshop’s latest teaser trailer is showing us some hints at what’s to come with Warhammer 8th Edition. This new teaser trailer has a few nuggets of info about the story line moving forward:

“Check out the latest teaser for the future of the Warhammer 40,000 setting in the new edition.”
Nurgle units were heavily featured in this teaser and the video mentions the events that have torn the galaxy in half. Clearly this was a reference to the new galaxy map that we saw earlier.
But all hope is not lost – the Imperium is ready to fight back and the Space Marines are leading the charge!
From all the images we’ve seen and this teaser, it’s pretty clear that the followers of Nurgle are going to make their presence felt with the new edition. But which loyalist chapter is duking it out with them? Could these teasers be hints at the next boxed set?
Now, a couple weeks back we heard from a source that there was a possible new Horus Heresy box featuring Death Guard vs either Dark Angels or White Scars. But what if the source actually saw two different starter boxes, one for Horus Heresy and one for 40k – but both featured Death Guard vs a Loyalist Chapter. That would explain why the source was unsure about the loyalist marines, right?
What we know for sure is that the Death Guard are coming. We’ve seen those teaser models and GW isn’t exactly shying away from teasing those. We also know from the Q&A session that the conflict between the Imperium and Chaos is going to take center stage and that Chaos will be “The Big Bad” it was intended to be. So the real question is who are the new poster boys for the Imperium?
What do you think of the latest teaser? Who do you think will be squaring off against Nurgle?
