PP: Upcoming Grymkin New Releases

The last of the Grymkin on Parade make their way to stores this next week. See them now…before they see you.

The final (for now) wave of Grymkin is upon us, with models like the Heretic and Lord Longfellow, who’ve already been teased, alongside more explosive looking units like the Mad Caps, or the amazing, Baba Yaga-esque Zevanna Agha and her battle engine. These are the Grymkin models I’ve been waiting to see in person. They play more into the folkloric aspect of the faction that I really enjoy. Your mileage may vary, maybe you’re all about the piggy backs–but something about this last wave is haunting in the best way.

Mad Caps$34.99

Cautious calm has no place here—our drunken revels give us cheer!

Mad caps are particularly volatile imps that congregate around a portable still. These hedonistic grymkin gleefully hurl volatile bottles of flammable moonshine at anyone foolish enough to wander near their raucous merriment. Unfortunates who quaff the liquor from their still are quickly transformed into speedy and unstable cask imps.

Beware the comely maiden ’neath the old and knotty tree—a foul, deceitful witchwood the maid will likely be.

Bound together as a witchwood, the woman and the ancient timber seduce victims with lilting song and fruits freely given, turning stouthearted allies against one another in jealousy. Any who take axe or torch to a witchwood soon find how easily their flesh tears in the tree’s gnarled grasp.

Zevanna Agha The Fate Keeper – $124.99

Strands of fate I twist and weave, and many will be left to grieve.

Having released the godlike Defiers from Urcaen to suit her own ends, Zevanna Agha has many plans in motion. Only time will reveal her true goals, but for now she is content to join in the chaos the grymkin bring. Her hope is that those fated for greatness will be strengthened by the crucible of the Wicked Harvest and that the Defiers will aid in forestalling an otherwise imminent doom.

And coming soon not long after, the new Trencher Theme Force gets all its models, so stay tuned for some Warmachine!

I would buy the Zevanna model just for modelling and painting purposes… but not at $125!!

What is the level of material PP use nowadays? Have heir sculpts and detail come up to standard?

    • zeno666

Its larger than most colossals. And its made out of resin and metal.
But I agree, its still very expensive :

Resin and metal…. urgh. 2 polar opposites, 1 soft and pliable, the other rigid and heavy.

I think I need to see one up close before considering buying it. When will PP move to all plastic!

        • Hahboo

I read reports that the legs of the battle engine are bending/flexing from the weight of the material above it.

          • JN7

PP has already offered replacement legs, and let it be known it was a bad batch of resin.

Also tempted to buy it, even though I don’t play the game it was designed for.

    • Apocryphus

I have seen the model in person, and I think it’s worth the money, it’s gigantic and the sculpt is gorgeous.

  • GiftoftheMagi

Great Cthulhu look at that battle engine. This is a great looking line.

    • dave long island

      He’s sleeping… Shhhhh… don’t wake him up!… lol

  • Gunther Clone C

LOVE that Zevanna model…totally making me think of “Howl’s Moving Castle.”

    • Severius_Tolluck

That is the idea! Both are based on Baba Yaga lore.

  • PrehistoricUF0

That engine is super nice, might need to pick that up for converting to a Mechanicus unit. That’s expensive as hell though, a full army Battleforce is way cheaper, lol . . .
