The post office is starting to drop off Warhammer 40,000 boxed sets on doorsteps. Pics are coming in…
The Hellbrute looks to be about 8 pieces.
The box contains 4 sprues.
1 Chaos Sprue with the Hellbrute, characters, and unique cultists.
1 Dark Angel Sprue with Characters, unique marines, unique termys, and the Ravenwing biker leader
2 Mixed Sprues containing the “rank and file” cultists, tactical marines, 1 termy, chosen, and a biker. Basically all the models that you get in pairs in the boxed set.
The sprues are jam packed with bits, and like the Baneblade kit, a lot of very, very impressive technical achievement is on display here. We are seeing some phenomenal pushing of the boundries of what digital sculptors can do with quick assembly models while still pulling off high level of details.
For example, the Marine Bikes are sliced all the way down the middle, being simple two part models that you stick the rider’s torso atop, yet look as good as the much more complicated standard marine kits when painted up.
The Hellbrute has been cunningly designed and cut apart to enable it to have such deep relief around the model’s head. It sports three stacking layers of parts you glue atop each other to pull off that effect (the head, the main chassis, and the outer ring).
Have at it folks.
