Horus Heresy Deathguard Army List – 2500 Points
If you’re like me you have the 30k, Horus Heresy Bug. Here is a 2500 list that uses a lot of figures that I like the most and would make Mortarion proud.
There are so many awesome units available to a Death Guard player in the Horus Heresy Legion armylist. The idea behind this list is pretty simple but the nice thing about the Horus Hersey game is that you can pretty much play whatever army list you like the most and still do pretty fine against any opponent. The missions in the book are innovative enough to reward good game play and rely less on how optimized your army list may be.
The Deathshroud Terminators are some of the coolest models in the range. The rules even state that you have to model these different than any other terminators in your force. The scythe and the intimidating look of the figures just beg for them to be used in a list. The Deathshoud Terminators have 2 wounds each and take quite a bit of pusishment as they walk across the table supported by the las cannons on the dreads.
Mortarion is a truck. I see him riding around in the Spartan with his bodyguard and coming out to reap souls when the time is right.
The Spartan is a mainstay in any competitive HH list so as we start to see more lists made they are going to pop up a lot. Expect to have to run through a lot of them if your local area starts to run 30k Tournaments.
Quad Mortars are a relatively new addition to the HH space marine line up and they do not disappoint. They will simply punish anything your opponent has exposed on the ground.
