Today we take a look at mastering Legion’s latest new Warlocks – Saeryn & Rhyas. All hail Everblight!

So the twins have been out for a little while and after getting to see them in action they have a great set of abilities.  They are pretty light on hitboxes, if they get and can’t transfer they are probably done for.  But, you might find yourself killing Rhyas to deliver her anyways.  The twins feat brings the other twin back from the grave.  It doesn’t get around Removed from Play so be sure to keep a careful eye on who can swing at your gals.

The Basics

Saeryn

Rhyas

Pick your defensive buff, either stealthed or immune to targeted by spells with access to Occultation and Banishing Ward.  Blood Rain can be a useful solo killer.  Marked for Death is a decent buff for legion infantry trying to hit higher defense targets.  Psychic Vampire is useful against retribution battle mages and circle druids.  Rhyas is all beast stick with Flashing Blade and Onslaught.

The FEAT:

The twins are really a Saeryn delivering Rhyas system.  I think the main purpose of the feat is for Rhyas to come back from the grave at a really painfuls spot after Saeryn charges.  Giving her a massive threat range.  Since you can kill her in the same turn it can also be from an angle your opponent though somewhat safe.  It also serves as rewind incase one of the twins took to many lighting bounces or were knocked down and bit the dust to early.

Listbuilding

Zuriel is really powerful with the twins.  He gains stealth and arc while in their control areas.

A Seraph is great for deep Ryhas delivery with the slipstream animus.

I think you need a protector.  Not only for a shield guard but also the animus can keep you safe from annoying knockdowns.

Legion infantry will be getting a big buff soon with all the grotesque love.  But, until then Marked for Death and Occultation can keep them rolling.  Occcultated legionares are pretty nifty.

Tenacity is pretty strong for Rhyas since she can swing at models that miss her in melee with Riposte.

How to Use the Duo?

As stated with the feat the general rule is deliver Rhyas.  She has 6 attacks with fury 5.  You can’t attack legion warlocks with most of your beasts.  Nephilim however can swing at them.  Another way is to slam something into Rhyas and have some infantry finish her off. Once she gets toasted, Saeryn will charge deep as she can and feat back Rhyas into the nasties position possible.  She can also debuff Rhays target with her dispel weapon or Marked for death, and even pop a few points off with razor wind.

How to Defend Against Them?

If you can see stealth with decent ranged guns you will be able to put some pressure on the twins.  Realize that Saeryn can bring back Rhyas a good distance away from her and that Rhyas has reach on top of it.
