Tabletop Spotlight: Star Wars: Keeping the Peace
The Tabletop Spotlight is on the new Force & Destiny Sourcebook – Keeping the Peace. Get ready all you Obi-Won types, this is the book for you!
Hello again BoLS Readers, we’re back with another Tabletop Spotlight and this time it’s the new Star Wars RPG Sourcebook Force and Destiny: Keeping the Peace from Fantasy Flight Games. This book is the book for all of those force-sensitive types that always looked up to Obi-Wan as what it means to be a Jedi. Check it out:
Thanks again to our buddies over at Dragon’s Liar Comics & Fantasy for bringing this awesome book over to check out! As Michael and I were looking through the book we were both really pleased with the art style and layout. FFG always does a great job of putting together a really eye-pleasing product. I personally really like the tips on how to role play a Jedi Guardian – I think they really help you get into the right “headspace” of your character. “How should a Jedi Guardian act in this general situation?” They are great guidelines without telling you exactly how to play your character. The book is also packed with new skills, talents, abilities, tools and a few extra races to play as well!

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the upcoming release of Keeping the Peace, a sourcebook for Guardians and the first career supplement for the Star Wars®: Force and Destiny™ roleplaying game.
Guardians live to protect, whether that means enforcing justice, shielding others in battle, or fighting oppression through political means. They put the needs of others ahead of their own. They ask questions first and strike after – but only if violence is absolutely necessary. Keeping the Peace offers Guardian characters everything they need to live up to their noble ideals and make a positive difference on countless worlds, including new Guardian specializations, playable species, weapons, and starships to convey them throughout the Star Wars galaxy.Advertisement
Become a Hero
Once you’ve developed your Guardian character, or perhaps diverse group of Guardians, it is time to turn your attention to the heroic journey ahead. Keeping the Peace therefore concludies with extensive suggestions for Game Masters on how to create adventures and campaigns suited for Guardians, from archetypal quests of self-discovery or monster-slaying to military adventures in which characters must lead villagers in a battle for independence and survival, with all the odds against them.
When the Jedi Order fell, innumerable worlds lost their peacekeepers, protectors, leaders, and defenders. Under the gaze of Imperial officers local conflicts are exploding. Small-time crooks are becoming criminal bosses. Pirates, slavers, corrupt politicians, and all manner of villains thrive. With Keeping the Peace, you have the opportunity to establish a just and compassionate order amid this chaos. Now is your chance to become a hero.
“For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times, before the Empire.”
