2016 brought us the reset Age of Sigmar with the Generals Handbook leading the way, alongside the Sylvaneth, probably the best AoS range of the year.  We saw a ton of amazing GW kits and ranges like the Magnus the Red,  Genestealer Cults and Deathwatch that fans have been dreaming of for years!  FFG pushed full speed ahead with a surprise unveiling of rank and file fantasy miniatures game Rune Wars plus many Star Wars Armada, and X-Wing ships including the Interdictor Cruiser and the U-wing.  Rogue One hit at the end of the year and only increased the fact that Star Wars will be a potent thriving universe for gaming in the years ahead. Privateer Press has a tremendous year with Warmachine/Hordes Mk.3 sending shockwaves and excitement through the community. Kickstarter just kept cranking out the hits, like Kingdom Death’s record smashing Monster 1.5. Dungeons and Dragons brought us the return of Ravenloft with Curse of Strahd and Volo’s Guide, while Paizo rolled out revised classics like Curse of the Crimson Throne and the Pathfinder Pocket Editions. 2017 looks to be even better for tabletop gaming, RPGs & RPGs with new arrivals and amazing products coming out of the woodwork.  Here’s to bigger and better toy soldiers, games & adventures for us all!
