Mantic: ‘Hellboy’ Kickstarter Breaks $1 Million Barrier
Within two days of launch Mantic’s latest Kickstarter Project busted the $1 Million mark. Hellboy: The Board Game looks like it’s going to be a smash-hit – and there is still lots of time to dive in!
The Early Bird Special topped out with 7,671 backers and there are already more than 1000 backers for the “Agent Pledge” which is basically the boxed set and all the relevant unlocks.
This isn’t their first licensed deal either – the Walking Dead: All Out War was a hit for them and it continues to be popular, but Hellboy could be their next big game.
The Kickstarter does represent the chance to get all the exclusives and early releases before they head to retail (if they even GO to retail). If the Boxed set is going to have an MSRP of £69.99 then grabbing the box plus all the extras for £95 seems like a pretty good trade-off! You get a ton of stuff in the box as is – but the unlocks are looking pretty impressive. The bigger this Kickstarter gets, the more unlocks you’ll receive. And they are starting to add up:
