Warhammer 40K: Our Favorite Ork Stratagems From Saga of the Beast

The Orks got a bunch of new stratagems – but which ones are our favorite? Let’s chat!

Saga of the Beast added a ton of stratagems for the Orks – two whole pages worth! Today, we’re taking a look at some of our favorites. These might not be “Da Best” options but we think they are the most flavorful (and are still worth using when the moment is right). Time to dive right in!

Grot Bumper

This one is just funny. Well, funny if you’re not a Grot. We really like the idea that Boomdakka Snazzwagons can just shrug off a wound thanks to their Grot Bumper. Plus if you’ve ever seen a car without a bumper driving along then you know that it just looks a tad more orky. That’s why this is one of our favorites!

Flyin’ ‘Eadbutt

Orks love when stuff explodes. Ideally, it’s not their stuff but sometimes it happens. When it does happen, Orks would want the explosion to be as epic as possible and thanks to Flyin’ ‘Eadbutt your Flyers can attempt to do something awesome on the way out.

Hit ’em Harder

Finally a Meganobz themed stratagem! Oh sure, there have been other options in the past, but this one is specifically used on Meganobz and it boost their damage by 1 for their melee weapons. It seems like a very orky thing to just, ya know, Hit’em Harder!

Orks like the Dakka! Flash Gitz like the fancy Dakka! Now, for 2 CP, you can make that fancy Flash Gitz Dakka extend out an extra 12″ and let their Snazzaguns sing.

Da Burnin’ Highway

I’ve always felt that Orks would be into burning things and that includes burning rubber. The Kustom Boosta-Blasta is basically an Orkified Dragster and this stratagem allows them to get a little extra kick out of their burna exhaust. If you’re an ork with a dragster, you know you’ve got to mod it up so that it spits fire when you slam the petal to the metal!
