Psychic Awakening brought us a ton of new Primaris Character and updates to classics – these Chapter Masters need to follow suit!

After seeing the conversion work of Migs’ Blood Angels and that sweet Dante conversion, I got to thinking about the Primaris Marines once again. I know folks are kind of tired of Space Marines right now and Psychic Awakening has delivered the goods on quite a few amazing new models and updates for sure – but there is still a lot of work to be done.

We have seen a few Chapter Masters make the jump to Primaris versions but there are still lots more that really need to – either because their models are just old or they could just really use a push in the lore to shift to Primaris. Here’s 5 Chapter Masters we wish would cross the Primaris Rubicon.

Dante

Yep, we’re starting with this one. I mean, the old model was great for it’s day. But check out this conversion that we’ve already referenced:

It’s basically a Stormcast Eternal model that’s been swapped over – and it totally works! Not to downplay the conversion work (as it’s a lot more complex than just slapping some BA bits on a Stormcast and calling it done) but c’mon GW…It can’t be that crazy hard, right? Dante needs a new model and he need to make the jump.

Logan Grimnar

This model is something else. I feel like GW needs to come out with the Assault version of the MK. X Gravis Armor unit before Old Man Logan gets a new model. But I’m also hoping it’s based off his old model on foot:

He actually had a pretty unique pose for what it was back-in-the-day. I always liked that about him and I’d like to see this one get re-done as a Primaris.

Pedro Kantor

The Hero of Rynn’s World, Kantor has some pretty cool wargear. I’d love to see this model get redone so that he’s more like the Crimson Fist version of Marneus Calgar in that he’d get a new suit of Primaris Power Armor but still have his old weapons attached. Well…at least Dorn’s Arrow. Personally, I’d also like to see the back banner removed and moved to a seperate model…but that’s just because I’m not a huge fan of the back banner look. Either way, a Primaris version of Pedro Kantor is one I’d vote for.

Azrael

Part of me still thinks that Lazarus was going to be an updated version of Azrael, but it just didn’t pan out for whatever reason. I mean, the major motifs are there already:

Seriously, he’s got the big winged helm, a power sword, and the brooding look down. He really just needed a combi-plasma and BOOM – Azrael 2.0. My point is the template is there GW, you know what to do…

Gregor Dessain

Wait, who? Oh you didn’t know that Gregor Dessain is the Chapter Master of the Imperial Fists now? Surprise! And he also doesn’t even have a model. So why him? Well, there are hundreds of Space Marine Chapters out there and I think we could use a “generic” Primaris Chapter Master model. Gregor Dessain could be that model. Think about it – if you were going to make up your own Primaris Space Marine Chapter, what options do you have? You’ve got the Primaris Captain:

Or the Gravis Version…

And you’ve also got the Captain in Phobos Armor:

And while these kits are neat, I think a new “generic” multi-part, multi-pose Primaris Chapter Master kit would be totally worth it. Make it happen GW!

Vote For Pedro
