The MTV Awards (yes, they still exist) brought us new looks at Loki and Black Widow.

Black Widow will premiere in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 9th.

This origin story goes beyond her time with the Avengers, all the way back to Nat’s childhood. She was given to the KGB at birth and trained to be its ultimate operative. After the fall of the U.S.S.R, the government attempts to hunt the Black Widow down and extinguish her. She has to fight back to survive – and she’s not alone in the fight.

The new cast also includes Florence Pugh (as Yelena Belova), Rachel Weisz (as Melina Vostokoff), and David Harbour (as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian). William Hurt (reprising his role as Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross), and there are rumors we’ll see some other Avengers but nothing has been confirmed.

Loki premiers on Disney+ June 9th.

The series picks up after that one scene in Avengers: Endgame. Loki ends up in the hands of the Time Variance Authority – that’s right, we’re jumping directly into the Multiverse with Loki as a guide. The story will take Loki through the timeline, allowing the trickster to influence historical events.

Tom Hiddleston returns as the God of Mischief and is joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty, Harmon Quest) is the lead writer in the series.
