We’ve got a new look at a future model with the latest Rumor Engine and this one has us buggin’ out!

It’s that time of the week where we all get our guessing game hats out and try to figure out what the heck we’re looking at. I’ve got some suspicions but before we get into those, let’s just see what GW has for us this week.

“Being the charitable soul that he is, Da Red Gobbo has pilfered an image from the Rumour Engine and stuffed it into our mailbox. Unfortunately, his ever-hungry squig Bounca got to it first, and what we’re left with is a little the worse for wear.”

Mantis Pose indeed. Well this insect-like appendage sure looks like it’s from a bug. It’s hard to tell exactly what scale we’re looking at, too. Having said that it reminds me a lot of a Tyranid. Yeah, yeah, I know that we’ve been burned before with the Rumor Engine and guessing things for Tyranids. But this limb reminds me of the side limbs from the Gaunt-creatures.

Termagants have those extra middle limbs which are…pretty useless. And so do Hormagaunts:

But they ARE shockingly similar. With three different sections of exoskeleton and the “claw” tip at the bottom they do follow the same pattern. Are we about due for some Primaris’d Sized Gaunts? Or perhaps some other Tyranids Creature has finally evolved some new arm-aments.

Eh, I’ll believe it when I see it. It’s probably some other new alien lifeform. I’ve been tricked before…

Oh I haven’t forgotten about you Ambull…

In anycase, it’s your turn! Let us know what you think this one could be in the comments. Is this one a Tyranid or something completely different? Perhaps it’s a Slaanesh Daemon? A new form of Power Armor? A creature from the deep? Your guess and theorycrafting is welcomed!

New plastic Gaunts? Nah….could never happen, right?
