The battle for War Zone Octarius continues with Book 2: Critical Mass. Let’s see what the Table of Contents can show us!

Games Workshop revealed the Table of Contents today for the upcoming War Zone Book and it’s looking like the Orks are getting lots of love along with a whole lot of lore.

via Warhammer Community

“The book’s lore sections cover the defence of Sigma-Ulstari and the apocalyptic end to the Octarian War, with dire consequences for the galaxy. Alongside them you’ll find a Codex Supplement for the Blood Axes Orks, Crusade rules with branching missions, Warhammer 40,000 rules for Rogue Trader crews, and more.”

We new the Orks were getting some meaty updates with this book from earlier this week. Now we have the Table of Contents to show exactly what we can expect from the rest of the book, too.

In total, we’re getting the following in terms of new rules:

  • Rogue Trader Index Rules
  • Codex Supplement: Blood Axes
  • Speed Freeks Speed Mob – Army of Renown
  • Crusade Rules
  • Rogue Trader Crusade Rules
  • Looted Vehicles for Orks Crusade Rules

The Looted Wagon, Looted ‘Eavy Wagon, and Battle Fortress are going to make for some awesome Orky templates for conversions. It’s too bay these rules weren’t in the codex or designed specifically with Matched Play, too. At least Crusade Orks can have some fun with those vehicles. Especially when you mix in the Speed Freeks – they do love their vehicles after all.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the new warlord traits, stratagems, and more the book will offer for these various armies. I’m also curious to see how the Rogue Traders are getting in on the action. That’s always been a strange one! Lore-wise, this book also hints at an actual conclusion for the war zone. That section labeled “The Consumption of Octarius” doesn’t bode well…

In anycase, you’ll get to play through it yourself one the book his shelves. How are you going to make a stand in the Octarius Sector?

I think we might see a whole lot of NOM NOM NOM in Octarius’s future.
