Though we all heard it, Patrick Stewart denies being in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I’m not sure I believe him.

The first Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a moment that sounds an awful lot like Patrick Stewart telling the sorcerer that “we should tell him the truth.” The internet has generally agreed that it is him. The silhouette is right, for crying out loud.

The actor recently did an interview with CB about the next season of Picard. That interview included a denial about his involvement with Doctor Strange 2 – despite how glaring it may be to fans.

“You know, people have been imitating my voice ever since I came on the stage 60 years ago. So, I can’t be held responsible for that.”

We’ve been here before. The cast of No Way Home spent months trying to hide the big plot twist during interviews. They were generally successful and were able to keep fans guessing. I’m not sure if that can be pulled off again.

The multiverse format allows for a lot of things – alternate versions of well known characters and the addition of actors from other franchises being the two big possibilities. Since the trailer debuted it’s been theorized that the Illuminati is being brought in to judge Strange for his actions in No Way Home. Professor X is a core member of the group, so it makes sense for him to be there.

I’m sure we’ll be playing this is it or isn’t it game till it’s confirmed either way when the movie comes out.
