The Studio 666 red band trailer showcases an innocent cookout, demons, and death by percussion instrument.

The Foo Fighters have been creating hilarious music videos for years. Why not make a full-length horror movie? Studio 666 sees the boys moving into a haunted house to record a new album. It’s a mix of comedy and horror that takes the band movie genre in a totally new direction.

In case you can’t access the red band trailer at the moment, here’s the safe version.

The band definitely had a lot of fun making this. The red band trailer has buckets of blood and some gross kills. According to Dave, drummer Taylor Hawkins is an 80/90s slasher fan. It shows.

All The Details of Studio 666

The cast includes all of the band plus Jenna Ortega (who is in the most recent Scream sequel), Will Forte, and Whitney Cummings. Plus Lionel Richie and the legendary Steve Vai. It’s directed by BJ McDonnell, who has crew credits on American Horror Story. The story is straight from Dave’s brain.

In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.
