Let’s take a look at an Adeptus Custodes list that can even survive the nerf-bat.

Looking at Custodes I wonder if we can prefabricate a list that might survive a nerf.  If you look at the big things hurting the meta it is the Bikes and Trajann.  With that in mind let’s think of a list that will most likely use Trajann but instead try to survive utilizing as many foot units we can.  This way we could still be effective in the board control part of the game but don’t have to worry about 3 units of bikes dumping a ton of points into our list.

With that in mind – let us go with a Solar Watch army that is all infantry.

Foot Custodes Tactics

This is a pretty simple list as it has a ton of bodies to cover the table.  You have the ability to play a few things for your Secondaries, Stranglehold, and Interrogation as needed.  You also have a lot of options just to spread out to control the board.  What you don’t have is a ton of good anti-vehicle damage potential but you have a decent amount of short-range weapons.  I think against anything big you just have to play the game of hit them hard with axes as needed and hope you can outscore them.

You have a bit of redeploy combo with your Castellan Mark and you can drop the Venatari from space as needed.  Plus – it is all foot guys so it can look cool on the table top running around like crazy people.  Does this list have legs?  Golden ones with a hankering to punch bad guys in the face?
