Yes!!! Another awesome kit has left resin behind and joined the Plastic Kit Brigade with the Leviathan Siege Dreadnought.

Well this is a welcome surprise. The Leviathan Siege Dreadnought is getting a new plastic kit just in time for the Horus Heresy to pick up some steam. I’m a little shocked but in the best way possible. Plus, with the reclassification of Dreadnoughts in the Heresy Rules, I’m betting it’s going to be an absolute beast.

“These massive Dreadnoughts were secretly developed on Terra in the latter days of the Great Crusade, away from the prying ocular lenses of the Mechanicum. And no wonder – you don’t want this kind of firepower getting into the hands of your rivals. Fortunately, the Emperor only issued the design to those he trusted. Y’know, like Horus.”

The Leviathan is the bigger brother of the already big Contemptor Dreadnought. Packing more firepower and more options, it’s a sight to behold on the tabletop.

It’s mostly geared for ranged combat with various weapon options including: the grav-flux bombard, the cyclonic melta lance, and the storm cannon. There are also two hull integrated weapon options with heavy flamers or twin-linked volkite calivers. It’s really your choice of dakka! Oh and don’t forget about the option to add the Phospex Discharger. Ya know, for even more flavor on the tabletop.

We’re looking forward to seeing this kit in plastic on the tabletop! This opens up a lot more conversion and hobby options because it’s in plastic. It’s also going to be easier to get one now that it’s going to be in most Warhammer and FLGS box stores. This is a great addition to the range.

I’m going to have to re-take the plunge again, aren’t I? This time with more Leviathan Dreadnought.
