When it comes to the convention, store celebrations, or anniversary models Slaves To Darkness get the best miniatures around.

Chaos followers, specifically the Slaves to Darkness, haven’t always been on top of the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar pile. But there is one thing they do better than most. They follow “the rule of cool.” It’s hard to argue they’ve had some absolute bangers when it comes to models out there. And there’s one area that GW keeps knocking them out of the park with consistently — Chaos Exclusive Models. You can only get these models at celebrations, conventions, or from some exclusive offer. Or from a friend who doesn’t mind trading them away…

Here’s a few of their best ones over the years. And I’m glad I picked up a few of them when I had the chance!

Mibyllorr Darkfang

Darkfang is the latest miniature to come to the exclusive realm. Only available from GW for subscribing to Warhammer+ (now with a £10 voucher or local equivalent)  for a whole year! Considering the price of admission and everything else you’ll get…it’s a fair price to pay if you want the miniature.

That said, she’s a pretty cool sculpt! She also comes with a coterie of familiars — one of which is a pretty awesome Chaos Warrior in their own right:

Not too shabby! And she makes for one cool miniature to add to your collection either way.

Helga Colvenhorn

Another Chaos champion for the Slaves to Darkness. Helga Clovenhorn was/is the Con exclusive for the 2021-2022 season. She was available for a bit on the main GW site because that whole convention season was impacted by COVID unfortunately. That said, she’s still a great sculpt and a perfect stand in for a unit champ or Chaos Lord in her own right. Personally, I really like pairing her up with the Underworlds Warband Khagra’s Ravagers as they all fit together well thematically.

Turns out big bulky armor and fur-topped capes is an easy theme to match-up.

Slambo

Slambo is awesome. A classic pose from the Chaos Warrior line and a classic warrior nonetheless! I also have to include him in this list as a nod to my fellow Texans in San Antonio who were adopted by him and are known as the Sons of Slambo. I’ve gotten to meet most of them at events here in Texas and they are a fun crew. They aren’t as cool as the Weirdnobz here in Austin and don’t have the best Tacos…but that’s a matter to be settled on the tabletop.

Anyhow, he was released as part of an anniversary celebration and was only around for a limited time. Slambo rocks!

Archaon on Foot

The final model I’m calling out is the old school Archaon on Foot. Originally this model was released at Games Day 2004. Eventually it was released the wider audience but for a time this was the only way to get Archaon on foot! Lots folks ended up using this model as a generic Chaos Lord or Champion in their armies because it was just that cool. It kinda makes me wish there was an Archaon on foot model remade in plastic now.

Chaos has had a lot of great champs over the years and some of their best ones have been exclusives — which ones are your favorites?
