Amazon’s Fallout show has been in the works for a while now and we now have a single screenshot.

A couple of months back, we started getting hints and leaks of Amazon’s upcoming show based on the Fallout video game series. Well, on the 25th birthday of Fallout, we got the first official look at the show.

And it’s a single screenshot.

There’s not a ton of easter eggs hidden in this single image. And by “not a ton”, I mean none. Really, the only point worth mentioning that I can glean is the fact they are from Vault 33, which has never been seen in any game before. So, the writers have basically free reign on the sort of story they want to tell with these characters.

What We Know So Far

In fact, the only real solid info we have is from Walton Goggins, who is playing some unnamed ghoul, based on an Instagram post he made back in July. He is best known for that one thing you saw and he was really good in.

The Fallout show was first announced in the summer of 2020. Since then we’ve gotten essentially no substantial information about the premise of the show. Which, frankly, I’m happy about. Fallout is wildly open with opportunities for storytelling possibilities.

Considering the nature of the world of Fallout, the story could really go in so many different directions. There’s human experimentation, politicking, mind control, horrific monsters, aliens, and giant robots. However, also the occasional glimmer of hope for the future.

The Fallout series is very well-loved and has a lot to live up to. Considering how well Amazon is doing with their Rings of Power series, I’m fairly hopeful for this series as well. If any studio has the budget to really go all out with a series like Fallout, it’s Amazon.

Personally, I hope we see Liberty Prime.
