Indy’s fifth movie now has a title – Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – and an action-packed first trailer. Check it out!

The Indiana Jones movies are cinematic treasures. Its hero is one of the ultimate action movie characters with a desire for adventure, knowledge of ancient history, and vulnerabilities that make him relatable. Oh, and that great sense of humor. Indy has been absent from the screen for nearly y 15 years, but don’t think he’s retired. He’ll be back next summer to take on an old threat.

The fifth entry into the Indiana Jones story moves up several decades to 1969. This time his enemy, the Nazis, is working within the US government with approval in the space program. The first trailer shows Ford kicking ass at 79 and de-aged in flashback scenes. Plus all of the adventure, action, and humor the franchise is known for.

The nostalgia is laid on thick on this one; even so, I will admit I laughed out loud at that nostalgia a few times. I grew up with the first three movies. My parents snuck me into theaters to see them and I think they regretted it when I had nightmares full of Mola Ram. I sat out on Crystal Skull, but I’ll be seeing this one opening weekend. Maybe I can drag my seventy-five-year-old dad out to see Ford’s last turn as Indiana Jones with me.
