Warhammer: Online Preview – LVO 2023 Predictions
We know which systems they are teasing but what will Games Workshop showcase at LVO 2023?
In case you missed the news, there’s a Warhammer Preview Online tonight and it’s happening at the Las Vegas Open 2023! It’s going to be a LONG night for us all. That said, we wanted to throw out some predictions as to what GW is going to tease. So let’s dive in and get to those guesses before the big show.
Warhammer 40,000 – More Arks of Omen
GW’s been pretty hush-hush about the plans after Arks of Omen. We might get the reveal of the 4th book in the series. We may also get some more teasers/reveals about various units coming, too. We had that batch of new year teasers that might get some love, too.
I’m betting we see at least a couple of the models that were teased in this video at LVO. Hopefully. But since we’re already talking about 40k…
Kill Team – New Kill Team (duh)
One thing we know for sure is that this good doggy is going to show up in some capacity. Will it be for Warhammer 40,00 propper or Kill Team? That’s what we’re waiting to find out. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Cyber Mastiff will be for a new Kill Team. It fits better as it’s a tad late to launch a “new” army for 40k 9th edition. I think we might have some Adeptus Arbites in our future for Kill Team. Hopefully that’s a stepping stone to more for them later…
Warhammer: Horus Heresy
If we had to guess the big plans for Horus Heresy this year will be more Marine releases. Ha-ha. But that might not be all that’s coming down the pipe. GW mentioned that their Exemplary Battles season has wrapped. And they teased that the next chapter is going to focus on “mortal and daemonic allies” which is an exciting proposition. Could we see some more Solar Auxilia action in the Horus Heresy? Perhaps some daemons? That would be our guess!
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Battletome Announcements
So the last two books in winter are about to land. That leave us 5 books coming fast in the spring. It would make a lot of sense for GW to show off which books are on the way next, dontcha think? Which books will it be? We already made our guesses for that:
Spring
- Order – Seraphon
- Chaos – Blades of Khorne
- Chaos – Hedonites of Slaanesh
- Death – Ossiarch Bonereapers
- Death – Flesh Eater Courts
Summer
- Order – Kharadron Overlords
We’ll see if we get confirmation on those tonight!
Warcry – More Warbands (also duh)
I have a very strong feeling we’re going to get a new Warband for Warcry — but we have no idea what it will be. There’s also the chance we see a new battle box for Warcry, too. GW’s been smashing it with those lately. Let us know which faction you think should get a warband in the comments!
Warhammer Underworlds – New Warband and Deck Announcement
We’re almost through January (already?!) and we know GW has a new warband planned right around the corner. Plus, there’s a new season after that. Could we get a preview of the new season? We’re at least going to get a glimpse of the upcoming warband in February. That much you can bet on.
