Take the fight back to the world of Sanctuary with the Diablo IV Open Beta available this weekend.

The closed beta has wrapped-up and so far the general reviews have been positive. Aside from some technical hiccups and some questionable power scaling, things are looking solid for the Diablo franchises 4th major installment (we don’t talk about Diablo Immortal around here).

But maybe you missed out on the closed beta weekend and want to give it a go before the full launch. Well, stay a while and listen…or at least get ready for the Free Open Beta weekend.

Diablo IV: Open Beta Weekend

Global Release Times – note the days are from the previous weekends but the times should be accurate.

If you want to give this one a go you will need to have either pre-purchased the game or you’ll have to have a Blizzard (battle.net) Account. If you have more questions about the content or access, you can check the Blizzard FAQ.

You can start the download for the Open Beta starting on Wednesday, March 22 at 9 a.m. PDT.

Ashava, a whirlwind of pestilence – World Boss

This is an early chance to take on the game before the full release which is slated for June 6, 2023. This is also a chance to test the game systems and offer some feedback to the developers. We’ll have to see how the response is to this slice of the game. While the levels are capped and most progress will be wiped before the game is officially launched, there’s still some things you can earn that will transfer over to the full release.

Sure, it’s not a massive jump start but it’s proof you were around before the game launched — so there’s that. Acti-Blizz might have some looming legal stuff and it’s maybe still not the best working environment which is unfortunate. It’s really a testament to the hard work the “boots on the ground” have been putting in for this early preview of the game to have been so well received despite all the drama in the background. This latest venture in the Diablo franchise was poised to be a massive hit. Let’s hope the right folks get the praise for it’s success and that the corporate side of the house learns the right lessons from it and not the wrong ones…
