Warhammer Fest reveals are the best time of year. Here’s hoping they show off some exciting stuff for Age of Sigmar.

Warhammer Fest is headed our way this weekend, and it looks jam-packed with exciting reveals. Whatever Games Workshop game is your speed, they’ll have something new for you to love and your wallet to hate. These events are always exciting to follow from home, and this one looks no different. While we don’t have many clues as to what we’ll see this time, I have my usual list of hopes. Since Games Workshop DEFINITELY reads my articles, I’m sure they’ll check a few things off.

More Old World Armies

We already know we’ll get some Old World reveals, but I want more than just rules teasers; I want a brand new army! As a huge fan of classic fantasy (yes, even the square bases), I’ve been following this project since it was first announced. The confirmation of the Tomb Kings and Cathay was fantastic, and we know a few other armies heading our way. I’m hoping that we’ll see some OG Skaven, Vampires, and the Chaos warbands charging onto the scene to face off against the Bretonnians and Wood Elves. The other brands of elves would be awesome as well, but we need some villains! The Old World is just too shiny right now.

More Dragons

The dragons returned to the Mortal Realms, which is fantastic, but they stopped with the Stormcast. A few other armies have some dragon kits, but they’re nothing compared to the awesomeness that is Krondys and the Knight-Draconis. I want to see dragon riders of old, like the original High Elf Prince or the two-headed Chaos Dragon.

He WANTS to return to the Mortal Realms!

In the world of Galletian Heroes and Ivya Volgas, more monsters might seem like a bad bet, but there’s nothing cooler to me than putting a massive centerpiece model on the table. Sure, we’ve got the big kits like Nagash or Archaon, but I want more beasties to counter the scaly brothers. And you know who would be the perfect fit for a giant dragon monster?

I know I’m a broken record, but come on; Games Workshop has been dangling the incredible half-dragon warrior of Ulgu over our heads since Broken Realms. With Morathi dividing herself from the forces of Order and Tyrion encroaching on the land of shadow, I think it’s high time for the true ruler of Ulgu to remind these kids who the Shadow King is…even if one of those kids is his mom. Getting a big Kragnos-style model and a new army of Shadow-aelves to lead would be the absolute cap of a fabulous event, and even though it’s unlikely at this point, I’m still really hoping.

What do you want to see at the upcoming event?

This came out in 2012.. It’s been ELEVEN YEARS!
