The new season of Warhammer Underworlds introduces two new actions to add to your arsenal of weapons — and MORE!

Warhammer Underworlds has a new season coming and with that Games Workshop is upping the ante once again. There’s a pair of new actions your warriors can take regardless of which warband they are in and the tactical flexibility provided is going to be quite refreshing. And that’s just the start…

“This new season of Warhammer Underworlds introduces new rules for you and your fighters to take advantage of. Alongside the traditional Move, Attack, Charge, and Guard actions that every fighter can make, you’ll also be able to make new Stun and Barge actions.”

What’s crazy is that the Stun Action just happens and is perfect for setting up future attacks on the stunned target. You can even use the Barge action to get your move+stun in one go. While it might not seem like a lot at first those Stagger tokens give you a re-roll to one dice in a follow-up attack or casting roll.

That extra bit of reliability can be very handy when you need your “heavy hitter” to land that killing blow. Or say you’ve got a bunch of low damage goons running around. Now they can dogpile on a target and give your attacker that extra re-roll which seems handy.

This new season also introduces the Snare Hex. This new hazardous hex applies a Stagger token to anyone unlucky enough to enter its borders. And, as mentioned, those Stagger tokens do make for juicy target for future attacks.

Salvage is another new rule being added to the game. This one allows you to discard and draw a new card — provided the discarded card is restricted to a fighter that is out of action. This is a nice way to cycle your decks and doesn’t leave you hanging if you get a bad hand and simply can’t score any of the objectives. Of all the changes I think this one could really be a big boon in the meta for decks.
