It’s been a full year since we last saw these Rumor Engines. Let’s see how they turned out with our July 2022 Edition of Where Are They Now.

Well folks we’re more than halfway through 2023 and I’m having a hard time accepting that fact. But hey, that’s just how time works. One nice thing about time moving forward (as it does) is that we can take a moment to look back at what happened previously. In this case we’re taking a trip to last year to see where all the Rumor Engines from July 2022 ended up. So let’s dive in!

‘Shackles Await’ – July 5, 2022

The Exaction Squad was the crew carrying these shackles. They DO look like Nighthaunt shackles but we were close when we guessed that they could be cuffs from the Palanite Enforcers. Considering those models are based off the Arbites and this ended up being a relaunch of the Adeptus Arbites to 40k…I’d call that a win!

‘Hieroglyphics To Be Specific’ – July 12, 2022

This Rumor Engine became the Jade Obelisk Warband for Warcry. Initially, this reminded me of an Ossiarch Bonereaper obelisk but the symbols carved on it had me leaning hard into something Tzeentchy. Considering this is a Chaos Warband I’d call that pretty close!

‘Mace For The Face’ – July 19, 2022

This one had us stumped. But it turns out it was a call back to some Imperial Agents and a very specific guardsmen from the old Inquisitor game reborn in Warhammer 40,000 scale. Well played GW…

‘Glaive of Fury’ – July 26, 2022

Oh sure, it’s easy to spot NOW. But hey, hindsight is 20/20 and all that. Oh well. In any case that’s all from July of 2022! All of these Rumor Engines have been spotted and accounted for. Did you have a favorite? Let us know in the comments section.

I still think that Jade Obelisk mini is really neat.
