It’s time to paint up a Chaos Daemon Prince of Nurgle in this week’s Hobby Highlight!

Today I am showing how to paint a Slaves to Darkness Daemon Prince for Age of Sigmar.

Daemon Princes are an absolutely classic unit for both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar. The newest GW kit might be the most customizable ever. This kit has sci-fi armor bits for Chaos Marines in 40K as well as bespoke fantasy armor for Age of Sigmar. In addition, the Daemon Prince can be built with wings or no wings and has heads dedicated to each of the four main Chaos Gods. I went with a Host of the Everchosen Nurgle-dedicated Daemon Prince for Age of Sigmar for painting up.

Daemon Prince Paint Scheme

The main feature of the chosen Host of the Everchosen scheme is black armor with gold trim, reminiscent of the Black Legion Chaos Space Marines of Warhammer 40,000. For the main armor I went with one of my favorites- Corvus Black with Leadbelcher edging/chipping. I based the trim around Liberator Gold, for that bright, shiny pop- except where I corrupted it a bit for the Nurgle icon. So the head would stand out and be a focal point, I went for a red face cloth and bright pink tongue. Now here’s how to get Daemon Prince painting with my recipe.
