The month of May has flown by. It’s time to check in on the Games Workshop Rumor Engines from last May to see if they got revealed!

2025 is moving right along. Can you believe we’re about to be in June?! Anyhow, it’s time we slowed down a bit and took a step back to see what’s become of last year’s Rumor Engines from May of 2024. Did these turn out to be the miniatures we expected, or do we still have some unrevealed minis waiting for us?

May 7, 2024 – Lizard Ridge

Status: Solved

Those spikes actually belonged to a Seraphon! Specifically from the Warhammer Underworlds Warband Jaws of Itzl. I believe this one is named Ro-Tak, the Guardian. So there you have it!

May 14, 2024 – That’s No Ankle Bone

Status: Solved

Those robotic joints did end up belonging to a chaos robot. Just not the size I was expecting. It helped that these Thousand Sons robots are a completely new unit. So…surprise!

May 21, 2024 – Flame ON!

Honestly, this one also came out of left field. That torch could have been held by a whole lot of factions. Little did we know that it was actually coming from the Gloomspite Gitz new/re-imagined Sunsteala Wheelas! Gitz with wolf-chariots are back, baby!

May 28, 2024 – Skull in a Box

Status: Solved

This skull in a box came courtesy of the Sanctifiers Kill Team in the Blood and Zeal boxed set. Side note, the model carrying the skull in the box is very clearly a reference to the old school Inquisitor 54mm miniature for Preacher Josef. That’s a neat connection and a deep lore cut for sure!

May 2024 Rumor Engine Recap

Well, that’s all from the Rumor Engines from May 2024. This time around, they all got revealed within the year. Do you have a favorite? Personally, I do like the nod to Preacher Josef. Then again, I do like the completely new units that were teased. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what surprises come from the May Rumor Engine crop from this year…\
