Age of Sigmar: New Blades of Khorne Spearhead ‘Fangs of the Blood God’ Pricing Breakdown
Games Workshop has a new Spearhead box coming to Age of Sigmar. Time to bust out the napkin and do some math in this pricing breakdown!
So if you missed the news GW has a new Blades of Khorne Battletome, champion, and Spearhead on the way. While the new champion looks intimdating what caught my eye was the new Spearhead box in particular. It’s a weird one to be honest. Which is why I wanted to break it down.
Now, we don’t have an official price point yet. However, the new Spearhead boxes have all been $145. So I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that this new box is going to be the same price point. With that in mind, let’s get to the pricing breakdown!

Total Individual MSRP – $224.50
Total Estimated Savings – $79.50
Overall, the savings on this box aren’t too shabby! It’s also one of the few places you can still get the miniatures for the Claws of Karanak. Additionally, this being a Spearhead box, it’s a fast way to get into playing Age of Sigmar. It’s 19 models to paint up and it’s got a strong theme. Rules-wise, we also know this force will have a new slate of rules in the up coming Battletome, too.
That said, we don’t know exactly how they will play on the tabletop. You may want to wait on picking up a copy of this Spearhead until we get a bit more info on them. Also, I can’t really recommend buying more than one copy of this box either. Not that it’s a bad deal or bad box — it’s just that this box has a serious case of diminishing returns. You can’t really use two Karanak miniatures.The Claws of Karanak are also a unit that can’t be reinforced and they are fixed with the miniatures in the set.
So I don’t see the point in spending the extra cash on what amounts to two sets of Fleshhounds. You could just buy two boxes of them if you were really into the idea of mass Khorne Dogs.
