Well they held off as long as they could. Atomic Mass Games is adjusting US pricing by 10%-15% due to the “import situation” happening.

Earlier today Atomic Mass Games released a statement about an upcoming price adjustment. AMG isn’t calling out the Trump Tariffs by name. But you can read between the lines and know exactly what “import situation” they are referring to. You can read the statement in full below.

Moving forward, the pricing in the US will increase by 15% and will start with products available for pre-order July 1, 2025. Additionally, other products that were released before July 1st will also get an increased price of roughly 10% and those adjustment will go into effect July 15th.

Honestly, I’m just surprised that they were able to hold off for as long as they did. My best guess is that they had product already in warehouses in the US before all the Trump Tariffs hit and they were able to weather a lot of that storm. But AMG has new products that they need to import from their overseas manufacturing partners. That means they have to pay the import tax, aka the Trump Tariffs. And, because this is what we knew would happen when the proposed tariffs were announced, the business are passing those costs on to the customers.

This isn’t the first time AMG’s business has been impacted by the import tax either. They had to delay product releases before in an attempt to dodge the Trump Tariffs. But after three delays this price adjustment is just one more thing they are dealing with.

As a reminder a tariff is defined as a tax or duty to be paid on a particular class of imports or exports. The Trump Tariffs are hitting the economy as a whole. The tabletop industry is particularly vulnerable due to the nature of the products produced.

The US simply doesn’t have the manufacturing infrastructure in place to produce these types of products on this scale. It could take months or years to spin up what’s essentially a niche industry in the US. Plus, with the chaotic nature of the current administrations economic plans regarding these tariffs, who really knows how long or if these import taxes are going to stick around.
