The most successful online game of all time is branching out into an animated series from Netflix– with Vi and Jinx at its center.

The League of Legends: Arcane trailer shows fans the new animated series from the creators of League of Legends. The first series is based on the uber-popular game franchise. Arcane is set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun. It tells the story of League champions Jinx and Vi.

The two began their lives similarly as criminals in Zaun. But their paths verged wildly with Jinx embracing the criminal life and Vi becoming an Enforcer.

With their opposing roles chosen, they become arch-rivals. The animated series will dig into the relationship of the two– from their youth to their current deadly rivalry.

Riot Games is using the game’s lore for the story’s backbone. They’ve hooked up animation company Fortiche Productions.

Fortiche helped introduce Jinx back in 2015 with an animated trailer called Get Jinxed. The Jinxed trailer looks really similar to the clips and art they’ve put out so far, beautiful animation and all.

The video game company has also brought on some big names for the show’s soundtrack: Sting, Denzel Curry, Pusha T, Bea Miller, Imagine Dragons, and more.

League of Legends: Arcane Cast

Hailee Steinfeld (who we’ll see as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye later this month) joins the voice cast as Vi and Ella Purnell will voice Jinx. The cast also includes Kevin Alejandro as Jace, Katie Leung as Kaitlyn, Jason Spisak as Silco, and Toks Olagundoye as Mel.
