Goatboy here again, talking about what I want to see in the future of my plastic addiction. We all have wishes for the game. Things to create more avenues of fun and better highways of enjoyment. So without further ado, here’s my wish list.

Goatboy’s TOTALLY JAWESOME WISH LIST OF AWESOME FANTASY TIME!!!

1. All Plastic All the Time. I know I am not the only one that is really enjoying seeing everything starting to go towards plastic. This is the future dangit. If we can’t have flying jet packs for our dogs then we can have all plastic awesome minis. I can understand one off’s being metal, as obviously we won’t be buying a ton, but really, no more metal troops. No more metal vehicles. No more metal underwear.

2. Please Stop the 3+ Marine Variant Codexes. I know they are the cash cow of the company, but really throw us a bone here. Lets look at some of the Xenos races out there. I don’t know about you, but isn’t it time the Eldar got a new book? I know Dark Eldar are coming out at some point, so the hopes of the anti humanity league will come to fruition and the game will rejoice when the old Dark Eldar builds will go out of style for new cool annoying Dark Lance O Ramas!

3. Premeasuring for 40k. I know that might drive people crazy, but really just think if you could premeasure everything? Rules disputes for when people should be in assault range will go out the door. I know in a lot of ways we can do this now just knowing the size of the deployment zone. But still I think it would just make things easier in the long run. I don’t know when that will ever come in, as obviously it will probably take another rules edition to change it up.

4. Better Battleforce Box Deals. I think that some of them are alright, but for the most part I think they could do some work on them. Maybe set up a HQ, Troop X 2, and a Heavy? That would be pretty neat. With the price increases pushing the game into one army per player, giving some better deals would be great.

5. Another Red-based Marine Army I Can Use My Space Goats as a Count as. That is a Joke. Really I would like to see a really different and cool Marine codex, at least after 2 or so Xenos books. Something that is totally different than the normal mix and match weapon load outs of some of the previous books.

6. Full Color Codexes. So the Fantasy book, no matter on the cost, is really nice. The color pages are great and it is just cool to see all the colorful minis and artwork within the book. The only issue is it would probably cost more, but really once we are paying this much for the book we should see them in full color. Maybe in 3d too. With laser lights that shoot out and some kind of cool song that plays.

7. More Campaign Books with Cool New Rules and Stuff. The Armageddon and Eye of Terror books was pretty cool and I think another similar book could do well. As long as the rules are decent I think something new would be neat and gives a chance to hand out goodies to a bunch of different armies at once.

Those are just some thoughts I would like to see in the future. What kind of stuff are you looking forward to in the coming months?
