Today’s story is an audio adventure that is ostensibly about a pair of Relictors interrogating a captured prisoner, but secretly it’s all about Chaos. This should come as no surprise, because everything in 40K is secretly always about Chaos. Even the Inquisition. Especially the Inquisition.

Heart of Decay $3.99

A Relictors audio drama

Two heroes of the Relictors Space Marine Chapter interrogate a prisoner – a hideous servant of the Dark Gods, a Traitor Astartes of the Death Guard.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
It’s a taut and rather creepy tale about the corruption of Chaos by Ben Counter, whose writing about the Dark Gods is always entertaining.

THE STORY
The Relictors Space Marine Chapter are renowned for gathering artefacts of Chaos and delving into the secrets of the Dark Gods. Captain Vidarna and Apothecary Achaon are tasked with the interrogation – and torture if necessary – of a captured prisoner, a warrior of the Death Guard. After ten thousand years of war and corruption, what secrets might he yield? The pair attempt to find out, with hideous results.

Written by Ben Counter.
Running time 28 minutes. Performed by John Banks, Matthew Hunt and Toby Longworth.

You can buy only the stories that interest you or you can pick-up the entire Black Library Advent 2017 Calendar Event as a single purchase.

Black Library Advent Calendar 2017: The Subscription $59.85

Even this outro is secretly all about Chaos. Just reading it is a double heresy.
