Three new covers featuring photos House Atreides, the Fremen, and exclusive art were revealed by Empire this morning.

Legendary Pictures picked up the rights to Frank Herbert’s Dune back in 2016, and chose director Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner: 2049) to lead the project last year. The director chose Greig Fraser (Rogue One, Zero Dark Thirty) as director of photography. He, Eric Roth (The Insider, Munich), and Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange) have created a new adaptation that will span over two movies.

Production started spring of last year and wrapped in time to move well into post before quarantine hit. There hasn’t been much in the way of official photos since May, but that has changed thanks to Empire Magazine. Their October issue is devoted to the movie with exclusive on set photos and cast interviews.

Pre-orders for the issue are open in the UK now – – Order the House Atreides cover here, the Fremen cover here, and you can get a discounted bundle of both here. The third cover is a subscriber exclusive.

Dune is set to release on December 18th – 2D, 3D, and IMAX will release on the same day.
