The Hurakan of the Lumineth Realm-lords is coming and it’s going to be plenty fast! Check out their new rules preview.

The Hurakan Temple is a new addition to the Lumineth Realm-lords arsenal and it’s coming soon with a ton of great models. Today, GW is giving us a preview for what those new units can do on the battlefield. Speed isn’t going to be a problem for these units…

“Whether it’s with bow or fan, Treerunner steed or aelementor wind, the Hurakan temple’s disciples go to war with the wind at their backs. You might as well try to nail down a breeze as catch them in a combat they don’t want to be in, thanks to their unique battle trait.”

Okay…Wow! This adds a ton of mobility for these units which can be use in some very interesting ways. Getting a 6″ pile in move that also turns them into flyers AND allows them to move pretty much anywhere is a HUGE deal. They are going to hop over battlelines, avoid fights altogether, or even leave combat and avoid unfavorable match-ups. This is going to make the extremely hard to pin down and is going to be a great addition for the LRL.

Playing up the theme of being aelementiri wind spirit followers, they are going to have access to even more magical tricks, too. Check out their new Calming Zephyr spell:

A D3 heal combined with “ignore battleshock” test ability? That’s going to be pretty useful! Help that unit stick around and heal up for the next round.

Did we mention how fast this army is going to be? We did? But did we mention that their general has a new ability option that makes them even better?!

16″ move with fly is no joke! The Hurakan is going to rock for mobility. Get them where you need them to deliver their attacks – ranged or melee – and do it with the speed you need. But their mastery of the wind isn’t just good for moving around. They can also focus it with the right artifacts, too:

Drive the enemy back with a Windblast Fan. The wording is a little strange but basically, it’s going to force an enemy unit to move out of engagement range with the model using the fan. Plus, they will have counted as retreating so, baring some other ability, they shouldn’t be able to charge that round either. That’s quite the turn of events.

Rock you like a Hurakan!
