Goatboy here again and I have a plan for Redemptor Dreadnoughts fighting for The Great Khan!

I always loved how goofy that model was with the whole dreadnought within a dreadnought design style.  I like the insanity of it and while some hate the baby carrier designs we have seen I do enjoy them.  There is something about an armored model just getting more armor – like the Hulk Buster from Iron Man.  Of course, as I start to paint them I think – what could I do with this army?

I am currently painting them my Marine horde style which is an offshoot of the weird Blood Angel experiment I had back when Smash captains were all the rage.  I didn’t want an all Red Marine so I went with some black and some red arms.  It doesn’t match any chapter and thus it can be whatever chapter I feel like.  I didn’t want to go all Chaos like with one either – as I just wanted to paint some Marines.  But enough of that story – let’s talk about my army list.

First of all – I plan on playing 3 Redemptor Dreadnoughts.  These guys are built to be the backfield muscle that trundle up, throw out some bullets, and then get into some punching action when things get a little hairy as the Intercessors get too “involved”.  I went with White Scars as I like the idea of a very mobile army that seems to alway have something to do.  Plus – being able to advance with a dreadnought to get a little touchy feely seems like a great thing.  And heck – I think this army can still fit all in one tiny Table War case – with some slight modifications.

I give you my latest Mad Scientist creation:

3 Dreads and a ton of Angry Toddlers

Space Marine Battalion – 0CP
Chapter – White Scars

The Dreadtastic Plan

This is a pretty simple list with no spells etc.  You roll for your Litanies, move forward, and throw out bullets as needed.  I am tempted with giving one of the Lt’s the Storm of Fire Warlord trait to try and get some extra AP on the Dreadnoughts as a “guardian” of the dreads.  It would be a thought and only cost more another CP plus I can make him the more cautious bullet guy versus another Assault jerk.

Overall it moves a lot, has some firepower, and doesn’t throw all things into one basket.  I like the ability to always be moving and doing something plus at turn 3 this army goes into overdrive to finish it off.

For the Khan!
