It’s the most wonderful time of the year; battlebox time.

The holiday season is right around the corner, which means that soon, we’ll (hopefully) see the next round of big holiday bundle boxes for Age of Sigmar and 40k. Each one has been a great value, whether you’re starting up a brand new army or bolstering the ranks of an existing one. With Dominion and some big boxes already being introduced, as well as the shipping issues plaguing everything right now, there is some speculation that we might not get any this year, but it seems more likely the release has just been delayed. With a brand new edition just dropping and a lot of big announcements on the horizon, here are 3 Sigmar armies I hope get a battlebox this year.

Maggotkin

This one is almost a given, considering that a new book and hero for them is right around the corner. The Maggotkin are one of the forgotten children of Games Workshop, so it will be good to see them get some love, and it would be even better to see them get a big box. Since hopefully there will be a few more new units by then, the big battlebox will be a great return to form for the servants of the Pestilent God.

Dawnbringer Crusade

Even though this army hasn’t been officially confirmed, it would still be a fantastic opportunity for new models in a massive battlebox. The Cities of Sigmar have proven to be a very popular faction, so expanding on them with a more exploratory force like Dawnbringers can only result in good sales. Plus, with the option to include several older kits, GW could clear their warehouse in order to make room for new and exciting armies.

Beasts of Chaos

Rumors have circulated for a while now that the Beasts of Chaos are on their way, and enthusiasts have scrambled for some official word from GW for quite some time. The Beasts have one of the lowest win rates and most underpowered battletomes in the game, so it’s certainly high time for them to get an update. A holiday battlebox combined with a new book would be the perfect love letter to long-time fans of the Children of Chaos and an excellent introduction for newer players looking to field the deadly herds.

What battlebox do you hope to see?
